New Beginnings

With social isolation cancelling gigs, I plan to use this opportunity to update my website along with making consistent posts to show you what I am up to. My previous post was from April 2017 so I will briefly share highlights from each year.

2017 – Continued freelance work as a private piano teacher, accompanist at Western, and music director at Redeemer Evangelical Lutheran Church. Started my Masters in Music (Performance and Literature) in collaborative piano.

2018 – Competed in the 2018 Maritsa Brookes Concerto Competition at Western and was one of the winners.

2019 – Performed Prokofiev’s Third Piano Concerto in C major, Op. 26 with the Western University Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Tyrone Paterson as one of the winners of the Concerto Competition. Graduated from my Masters program. Competed in 3 international competitions in Washington D.C., Tel Aviv, and Tokyo. Continued to build my private piano studio with many young beginners.

2020 – Accepted into Canada’s National Youth Orchestra 2020 as the keyboardist (1 spot) and was scheduled to tour Germany, Croatia, Slovenia, and Canada. The tour has since been cancelled and is postponed until the summer of 2021 due to the ongoing COVID-19 epidemic.
